Strathclyde Pension Fund will take the sixth floor of building, owned by the British Airways Pension Trustees, which will offer 10,910 sq ft of office space on a 15 year lease at £25 per sq ft.
In a deal in which British Airways Pension Trustees were represented by Jones Lang LaSalle and Cushman and Wakefield, the fund are expected to move into the new offices in July of this year. Phil Reid Associates also organised the move for Strathclyde Pension Fund.
Mike Buchan of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Glasgow branch said, “This is a significant deal and follows closely behind the first letting to MacRoberts solicitors, who occupy 33,000 sq ft at Capella. There is always strong interest in the development as it is the ideal setting for occupiers looking to relocate to either a new headquarters premises or to take a floor within one of Glasgow’s flagship buildings.”
Spokesman for Strathclyde Pension Fund, Richard McIndoe, said, “The move to Capella will provide our staff with a modern workplace and will enhance operating efficiencies for our members, despite costing no more than our previous accommodation.”
